East vs. West Info

Friday night is Youth Night at City Stadium. Come early and check out the pregame ceremony introducing our future East High fall sports participants from our feeder schools and Rise Up Athletics.

As for the game, this is the second consecutive week the East Red Devils host a crosstown rival. This time it’s the longest continuous rivalry in the state: East vs West. They’ve played every year going all the way back to 1905. The Green Bay West Wildcats enter the game with a 2-0 record, coming off of a 44-3 win over North Fond du Lac. East is still looking for their first win of 2026 after a 21-12 loss to Green Bay Southwest last week. East leads the all-time matchup 64-53-3 over West, but West has taken the past three straight including a 7-3 heartbreaker at West last year that likely cost East a playoff bid. East has the opportunity to put one in the win column, avenge last year’s season-ending defeat, end the three-game losing skid, and hand West their first loss of the season all in one night. Here’s everything you need to know to see this Friday’s rivalry game:

Date: Friday, September 4
Location: Historic City Stadium at Green Bay East High School
Kickoff: 7:00 PM
Admission: $5 for adults. $3 for students. Cash accepted at the gate. East students get in for free but they MUST have their student ID to get in. You can buy tickets here using a card, but they charge an extra $1/ticket.
Streaming: Green Bay East home games stream at Hudl.com. Hudl requires a subscription. Click here for the stream and/or to sign up for a Hudl subscription.

JV: Our JV Red Devils will travel to Del Marcelle Stadium at West High School to play Green Bay West at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 8. For those thinking this must be a mistake because JV plays at home when varsity plays at home, normally you’d be correct. However, the JV games are also typically held on Mondays. Because of Labor Day the game has been pushed back to Tuesday, which caused a conflict with another event at City Stadium, so the game has been moved to West. You’ll have to cross the Fox River to catch the JV game next week.
