Subscribe with Google Calendar

  1. Click this link:
    East Gridiron Club Google Calendar
  2. If prompted, sign in to your Google account.
  3. Follow the prompts to add the calendar.

You can also add it manually from a computer:

  1. Open Google Calendar.
  2. On the left side, find Other calendars.
  3. Click the + button.
  4. Choose From URL.
  5. Paste this link:
    https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/east.gridiron.club%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics
  6. Click Add calendar.

Google’s own instructions say calendars added by URL will appear under Other calendars. 

Subscribe on iPhone or iPad with Apple Calendar

  1. Copy this calendar subscription URL:
    https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/east.gridiron.club%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics
  2. Open the Calendar app on your iPhone or iPad.
  3. Tap Calendars.
  4. Tap Add Calendar.
  5. Tap Add Subscription Calendar.
  6. Paste the calendar URL.
  7. Tap Subscribe or Find, depending on your iOS version.
  8. Name the calendar East Gridiron Club, choose a color, and tap Add or Done.

Apple’s current instructions use Add Calendar → Add Subscription Calendar, with slightly different final wording depending on the iOS/iPadOS version. 

Subscribe with Microsoft Outlook

Outlook on the web / Outlook.com

  1. Copy this calendar subscription URL:
    https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/east.gridiron.club%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics
  2. Open Outlook Calendar.
  3. Choose Add calendar.
  4. Select Subscribe from web.
  5. Paste the calendar URL.
  6. Name the calendar East Gridiron Club.
  7. Click Import or Subscribe.

Microsoft notes that subscribing to an online iCal calendar allows the calendar to receive automatic updates, unlike simply importing a static calendar file. 

Outlook desktop app

  1. Open Outlook and go to Calendar.
  2. Select Add Calendar.
  3. Choose From Internet or Subscribe from web, depending on your version of Outlook.
  4. Paste this calendar URL:
    https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/east.gridiron.club%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics
  5. Confirm that you want to subscribe to updates.

Microsoft’s desktop Outlook instructions use Add Calendar → From Internet for internet calendar subscriptions. 

Having Trouble?

If the calendar does not appear right away, try closing and reopening your calendar app. Some apps also refresh subscribed calendars only periodically, so new events may not show instantly.

For best results, use the Google Calendar link if you use Google Calendar, and use the .ics subscription link for Apple Calendar or Outlook.
